In April, Stromboli is more active than in March: above some small explosions from its NE crater at dusk. Note: two different vents are active.

The real show is presented by the NW crater (towards Ginostra). Frequently, it produces 50-150m high explosions. The glowing central vent continues to glow (right corner of middle picture) and emits spatter (middle picture below). Not shown, it erupted 50-100m high bursts of lava about 1/hour, too.
