During a visit on 11 January 2004, the activity at the summit craters was at fairly low level. The NE crater seen here erupted from different vents at time intervals of 20-30 minutes. Only occasionally, bombs were thrown outside the crater rims (right picture). Venus in the sky and lights/ silhouettes of Filicudi and Alicudi islands in the background. |
