Paroxysm on the morning of 19 February seen from the Rifugio La Sapienza. The highest part of the cloud remains in the sky all day and is taken by the light of the full moon on the right picture below. Photo above right: sun- and wind-shaped snow and ash patterns on the ground.

Etna hides behind steam clouds from Bocca Nuova.	Sunset and an impression from 21 February, - it is very windy and cold...	Sudden strombolian burst of SEC around noon of 23 February.

Waiting for the eruption at the evening of 22 February...		...Missed paroxysm on early morning of 23 Feb. seen from the window of the mountain hut at La Sapienza.
